4th week of work

it's the fourth week of work... so far so good... although it didn't start off very well, now i'm more used to it and is happy with it :)

students are ok.. some are cute, some are quite passive BUT there is definitely a naughty one or a poor one in class... well.. they are there to balance up the class atmosphere... haha

i'll need to learn to control my emotion and be patient, not to be angry or frustrated by the mistakes they do... this i will try to learn and change!!!

oh.. and must always remember this... " PRAISE THEM LOUDLY, CORRECT THEM GENTLY" :D

GOOD BYE 2009, WELCOME 2010!!!

Goodbye 2009, u've left me with memories worth remembering, be it sweet or bitter memories.... i'll treasure the sweet memories, and learn from the bitter/sad memories and try my best to make this new year, 2010 a better year!!!

2009.... a year full of ups and downs... pressures and stress completing lab work and writing of thesis... completion of thesis, preparing of examination...

happiness from graduation, sadness from friends leaving, going back to respective hometowns...

and on 16th August 2009, a memorable day in my life, i've finally graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Aquatic Resource Science and Management....

thank you to all that had played a role in my life, educating, teaching, guiding and those that stood by, supporting and guiding me... i appreciate it and will always remember and treasure it!

I'VE FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!

yippie!!! i have found a job at last!!!!! thanks a lot for offering me this job... :P
.
.
.
after the disappointment of not getting the teaching job at 'the private school', i was offered another post at another school which i went for interview earlier than that school... after being disappointed for about a week that is...

they took about 3 weeks to give me a reply and i had actually given up on this job, thinking like the other centre, they rejected without even informing. how surprised i was to accept the call from them... :)

so at last, i don't have to worry about looking for a job.. at least for the time being (till end of next year..)

although i am scared and nervous about this new job, i will try and do my best!!! :P

*memories of the past* - epi 1

was browsing photos taken while still in unimas. so, i have decided to jot down few memories i had there with friends and fellow coursemates... these are very very valuable memories to me and i will cherish the time spent together...

well, these are not written in order.. haha... ok, to start off, i shall start with our open water diving exam, in order to be a certified open water diver :P

we took our exam sometime in september 2007, after theory classes and having pool practical, both conducted at faculty and stampark. we were taught by a PADI instructor, known to us as Nick, who owns his own scuba shop and also a resort in sematan.

we had the open water diving exam at Talang-Talang Island, with a group of 8 (us aquatic students and sam, a plant student). a fun trip but also one that was full of accidents for me :( ...

our diving site...

the instructor

on our way to the diving site :D

us posing for the camera while getting ready for the first dive... while being very nervous and scared... :P

:)

at first we were supposed to go down together as a group but the wave was quite strong that time so we were separated into two groups so had to go back into the boat. this was when the first accident happened to me... *sigh* ... so clumsy and accident prone... i was climbing up the stairs back to the boat but the tank was too heavy and i slipped, banging my ankle on the 'metal' stairs.... resulted in a big bump that only went off after about a week.... not even started to dive and i hurt myself already .... -__-''

this was taken during the second dive, when the wave was not as strong so we went down in a big group

happy after the 'scary' dive... and we passed!!!

haha... discussing about my bruise... thanks to 'grandma' jessie who helped me to rub the bruise with boiled egg and some cream...

back at the resort, while getting ready for shower, i managed to hurt myself again. this time knocking on the van's door on the injured ankle... :'( *sigh* cannot deny not being a clumsy person, can i??

on the way back to campus. haha, scary-looking govind next to me :P

that was the first and last diving trip we went out together as coursemates and friends. yet to have a chance to go on other trips... hopefully there will be other diving trips =D.

that's all for this post.. ;)

a thought for the future

decided to give myself a try at a job advertised in the paper... called and was asked to go for an interview, as a 'proofreader' with a local newspaper. well, thing turns out rather unexpected... instead of interviewing me for the job, the manager suggested to me few other jobs, as the job as 'proofreader' will require me to work at night.... ended up he told me he will notify me if there are any vacancy for admin or account post with working hours from 8am-5pm...

well, not really very sure he will call me or not to notify me about other jobs suitable to me... anyway, the most important thing is that at least i give myself a chance to find a job. i guess if i still can't get a job by end of this year, i try apply for kpli again for the next intake...

someone suggested that i take up early childhood education and be a kindergarten teacher... in fact, i myself do feel more comfortable teaching younger kids. so, a diploma in early childhood education is also a consideration now... :)

BAKO FIELDTRIP.. a post full of pictures

the final fieldtrip for our course (ok..... i only managed to post this after exactly 6 months it's in the draft???) . we went to Bako National Park for our Coastal Zone Management course. it seems that i can never go on a trip without hurting myself... ='(... slipped and fell on the rocks during the morning walk.... -__-""

here are the photos........

according to the guide, the rock split into 2 few years back.. forgot the exact year.. the result of procrastinating and posting this post after about 6 months?!!
